4. QUALIFICATIONS
A.AGE (as on 01.07.2016):
SI No. 1. SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs,/DCs, BCs (OBCMs) and BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes.
Minimum Age (should have completed) 18 years
Maximum Age (should not have completed) 35 years Provided that in the case of persons with qualification higher than those prescribed in these rules and who have got experience for more than five years in the field, the age limit for appointment by direct recruitment shall be 40 years.
2. “Others” [i.e. candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs (OBCMs) and BCMs and DWs of all castes]. Minimum Age (should have completed) 18 years. Maximum Age (Should not have completed) 35 years Provided that in the case of persons with qualifications higher than those prescribed in these rules and who have got experience for more than five years in the field, the age limit for appointment by direct recruitment shall be 40 years.
Age Concession:
For Differently Abed Persons: Differently Abled Persons are eligible for age concession upto 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed above.For Ex-serviceman: (a) The Maximum age limit is 53 years for applicants belonging to SCs, SC(A)s,STs,MBCs/DCs,BCs (OBCMs),BCMs
(b) The maximum age limit 48 years for others i.e. applicants not belonging to any of the categories mentioned in (a) above.
(c) The above mentioned age concession will not apply to the Ex-servicemen applicants those who have already been recruited to any class or service or category.
Note: (i) No maximum age limit for those belonging to SCs,SC(A)s, STs,MBCs/DCs, BCs(OBCMs), BCMs and DWs of all castes who possess a General Educational Qualifications (i.e. who have passed P.U.C / H.S.C./Diploma/ Degree).
The age limit will be increased by five years in respect of candidates belonging to SCs,SC(A)s, STs, and Destitute Widows of all Castes and two years in respect of candidates belonging to MBCs, /DCs, BCs (OBCMs),BCMs, who possess the Minimum General Educational Qualification.Others” [i.e. Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/Des, BCs(OBCMs), BCMs] who have put in five years of service in the State/Central Government are not eligible even if they are within the age limit. For further details refer para 5 of the “instructions to Applicants”).
